PhilipTheys[NON]Fixed Furniture and PhilipTheysInterieurarchitect focus on furniture- driven challenges.

Projects seasoned with nice contemporary interiors and [NON]Fixed Furniture are our trademark.

The sense of detail is our passion and basic value throughout our work.

Timeless beauty is our aim.

In addition to this, our design methods hold a high degree of “thinking outside the box” and take a critical attitude towards everyday interior finishings. For some people a cupboard is a cross on a plan; this is for us a starting point; a mere and not very respectfull abstraction of what it is supposed to be. We consider every part of a piece of furniture as “to be thougt about” and are convinced that this attitude can only deliver outstanding pieces of furniture, being Fixed or [NON]Fixed. Therefore at PhilipTheys[NON]Fixed Furniture and PhilipTheysInterieurarchitect, we prefer small scale projects with a high degree of detailling.  However, large scale projects like total renovations and furnishings are individually considered.

All of our pieces, objects and projects are realised by true craftsmen, using ecological materials and resources.

Philip Theys holds a master degree in interior design (graduated in 1998). His first experience was a three year period at top-mouton for the Maarten van Severen™ collection and the detailing and coordination of the made to measure projects, immediately followed by three years with Obumex as the assistant of the chairman; also managing his own projects. Since 2004, he has been working as an independent interior designer, focussing on [NON]Fixed Furniture.  He is also assistant at the Artesis Hogeschool in Antwerp, at the department of design sciences, where he teaches “furniture construction”, “furniture design” and “ergonomics”.
